You might have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet for a few weeks. Partly that’s because it’s the school summer holidays, partly it’s because I’ve been working away on a couple of things we’re not quite ready to announce yet. Watch this space…
This week, however, I do have a couple of bits of news to share. The first, as alluded to in our title, is that following on from our interview with Malcolm Murfett a few months ago, we’ve just finished the first of what we hope will be a series of videos for the Tithebarn website. To begin with — predictably enough — we’re starting with an introduction video, going over some of the key points of who we are and what we’re aiming to do. you can see it right here:
It’s not exactly Steven Spielberg, heck it’s not even Mr Beast, but I think that when part of what we’re offering authors is a personalised experience, it behoves us to give you a bit more of a sense of who we are (and specifically who I, Simon, am) than you can entirely get just from our written words. Hopefully with more practice I’ll get more comfortable in front of a camera and more adept at playing with the video afterwards.
We have a few thoughts on what other videos we might do, the next one is likely to be FAQs, and then we might try and do some deeper dives looking at key aspects of the publishing process, along similar lines to the updates we’ve posted in the past. If you have any requests for either short questions you’d like us to answer, or anything you’d like to see a more in-depth discussion about, do drop us a line at admin@tbarnpress.com.
The Big Australian News
The Ingram Publishing platform we use for direct sales has just changed their setup so that we can now offer discounted orders to customers Down Under. You can now order a copy for AU$44 plus postage. And a reminder that if you’re in the UK it’s £20 and in the USA $28 all at the below link:
We’ll have news on more forthcoming titles over the coming weeks. I’ll also have more news about Eden’s Alternative to Appeasement soon, including sightings of Malcolm Murfett in the wild (by which I mean, online) and plans for our book launch in the (northern hemisphere) Autumn (Fall) in London.
In the meantime, if you have a book project you’d like to discuss, do get in touch on proposals@tbarnpress.com.
