I was very pleased to spot this week that Eden’s Alternative to Appeasement is now available in paperback from Waterstones, Kinokuniya and Kyobo bookstore. I’m keeping a full list of links for all the sites I know of where it’s available here and of course the best place to buy it from if you’re in the UK or US is at bit.ly/EdenMurfett . If you haven’t already, do check out last week’s update for your free sample chapter.
I mentioned last week that we’d have a surprise to show you soon, and for both technical and logistical reasons (in the latter case this is shorthand for: it’s half term and I’m spending a lot of the day with my children) it’s not quite ready yet, but we hope to have it for you next week. For now I’ll just say we’re very excited to offer more insight into why this particular episode in Anglo-American diplomatic history is so fascinating, and how the book came about.
In other news, our third prospective book project has completed the proposal review process and we’re excited to have it on board. I don’t like to say too much at this relatively early stage — there is much still to be written — but it will be a contemporary addition to our Power theme focussing on the European Union and it’s emerging role as an actor in an increasingly turbulent geopolitical environment. We’ve been absolutely delighted by the level of support we’ve received so far from both prospective authors and from our reviewers. It’s extremely heartening to find so many scholars who see the value in what we are trying to do and who are willing to work with us, whether that’s entrusting us with their work, or aiding in us in ensuring we live up to the values we espouse.
That’s all for this week, though there will be considerably more to say about Eden’s Alternative to Appeasement still over the next few weeks, watch this space!
As always, a reminder that we’re always open to considering new book proposals. If you’ve got something you’d like us to take a look at, please do get in touch at proposals@tbarnpress.com.
