Happy Easter

Easter came early on in our school holidays down here in Devon, with Good Friday the first day off school we were plunged straight into the long weekend.

The weather is currently beautiful here, and with every grass verge sprouting bluebells, whitebells and the odd pinkbell, East Devon is full of colour. I am therefore spending a large portion of the days this week trying to persuade my sons to go outside and enjoy it. Next week we’ll be going away on holiday for the first time in a year, and they seem to feel they have to save up their outdoors time for then. Hmmm.

Rather by necessity then, this week and next week’s updates will be brief. Last week we got to show off the cover and blurb for Eden’s Alternative to Appeasement, and we will have more to say on how you can get your hands on that soon. For now, we’re waiting for a few more endorsement quotes before we finalise the proof files and submit them for technical approval and upload. Once we’ve done our bit, we’re waiting for our platform provider to let us know that everything is ready to go, and then we’ll want to get print copies in our hands to check them over before we go live. As I said last week, that’ll probably take us all the way through April but hopefully not far into May.

In the meantime we have two exciting proposals under review at the moment, and I know a couple of other prospective authors who are planning to send us submissions during April, so it’s an exciting time here in Tithebarn. We’d be delighted to have even more to look at though, so if you have a book idea you’d like to discuss, do drop us a line at proposals@tbarnpress.com.
